Questioner asked:

My younger sister is living with me rent free while she attends university (she usually lives in another country). I also pay all her expenses including her very expensive university fees. I also introduced her to her fiance and basically agreed to finance the whole overseas studying thing so that they could be together.

I try to do thoughtful things for her everyday like tidying her bedroom, doing her washing, making her treats. Every night I turn back her sheets and leave a chocolate on her pillow. I give her lifts to places, give her clothes etc. etc. I took her on an all expensive paid trip round the country staying at 5 star hotels and seeing all the sites.

I really don’t have a problem with doing any of these things for her. All I ask in return is a bit of sisterly companionship. But whenever I tried to chat to her about anything she is offhand and disinterested and just wants to get back to whatever she is doing. We very seldom have girlie chats the way I do with my other sister. She does go out with me when I invite her to but has never invited me to do anything with her, and when she does it’s as though she is doing it out of duty. The other day I saw an SMS she had sent to her boyfriend and it was full of ctiticism of me which really hurt.

There is a big age difference between us and we didn’t live together much growing up. I hoped that this would give us a chance to get to know each other better but she doesn’t seem to want to.

I try to be kind to her and her fiance and not clingy and demanding of attention, so what am I doing wrong ?

He simply left while we were chatting & after few hrs sent me a message that he was leavig me and his family. The very next day he caught a return flight to his place, stayed home for the night and before i flew back on the 3rd day, left home with some of his things. Fourth day he returned back, after my parents intervened & managed to talk to him on phone and later that day, flew to our home. He now simply states this as his mistake & has no explaination. As such, he has never been open to me about his feelings or finances, which has always left me assuming things. I want nothing but transparency for our marriage to survive. He wants us to start again & forget the past – without any explaination. I am finding it difficult to forget or cope up with him. My heart and mind are battling with each other and i am unable to think. Should i forget all for once and give another chance? Should i try for another month or two and see if it makes any difference, before i decide on anything? .

my finance seems to want me to stalk him;but I can’t . I am not the one to stalk a man ;tonight he picked an fight with me and signed off; When I tried to call him and ask him what he want from me or what can I do to make it right he wouldn’t answer his phone; I ended up leaving a voice mail;I called his phone again and informed him that I wouldn’t be calling him anymore; Am I the one wrong? Should I be the stalker that he wants me to be? It’s getting so every other week he goes through different changes and lately I ‘ve found myself getting tried of all the changes that he is putting me through;he works in Missouri and I work in Nebraska so we don’t get to see each other everyday;we can only talk or chat with each other; I suggested to him that maybe it’s the distance betwween us but he says it’s not; what else can I do? And yes I do Love him and I know that he Loves me
I know that you are probably going to tell me that he is trying to control me;but I still want to make this work;so please give me your honest opinions

I hardley talk to my parents. i moved to another country and we keep contact through email and video chat. i know they love me and wouldnt hold back on me usually. We are not on the BEST of terms because i basically aloped and moved out of the country without thier knowledge. Its been 2 & a half years since then though.
we’ve all done some messed up things to eachother in the past. But no apparent grudges. & im thier only child. i always had a great relationship with my grandfather (on dad’s side) and was his first grandchild till my 2 other cousins were born 6 years later after i came along. well…unfortunantly, my grandfather died & i was not able to attend the funeral or the reading of the will because of my finances. I want to ask my parents if i was included in his will. possible oil money involved. i was thinking of asking them during a video chat but we’ve never been very good at communicating. my family did a good job keeping everything shallow (no deep conversations unless they are discussing thier religion) well..any suggestion folks? please? thanks!

I am working towards a business management associates degree and I have earned several credits thus far. The problem is this semester I am dealing with 2 difficult classes and I have no motivation to sit down and get the homework done.

Every time I sit down to work on my homework I start to get jittery and I have to get up or do something else because I can’t focus and concentrate on this stuff. I am taking Business Finance, which is just like an accounting course, and Oral Communications.

I quickly get discouraged when I have to work on something I have no interest in studying. I leave and do something more interesting like study my Spanish which I am doing on my own personal time, watch sports or other tv shows, chat online, and then I don’t get my work done.

When it is almost due and I am forced to work on it I do, but I still get distracted easy, and several assignments I couldn’t even finish and I even skipped class one day because I didn’t have the work done and didn’t feel like going.

I am only 5 classes away from my degree and this starts happening all of the sudden. I took hard classes before but I was able to get motivated to work on them.

I don’t know if it has to do with the fact that I started taking anti-depressants back in June, because this kind of started a little after that. I never was too interested in school, but it has never been this bad.

I have no idea what portion of business and finance to ask this. But honestly how often do employers monitor their employees email accounts.
I have a friend who emails me at least 3 or 4 times a day (I am at home) from her work email. Its usually just short chit chat, but I always tell her she could get in trouble. There is nothing wrong with the content, I would just think it is supposed to be for work related issues.
What is your thoughts or experience with this.
This is kind of what I thought, that it generally is allowed. But these are not on her breaks etc. is what made me worry.

My fiance has asked me to sign a prenup and I have expressed my dissatisfaction with it, not because I am a gold digger, but because I just feel that if you love someone and want to marry them you’ve gotta trust them enough that they would do the right thing by you even if something went wrong like divorce – I would not be unfair and take what was not mine to start with.

Anyway, I have agreed to sign it basically just to shut him up, however now, he keeps on wanting to talk to me about his finances and his money and the best ways for him to avoid paying extra tax etc. I feel very annoyed because he doesn’t trust me enough to not have a prenup but still wants to chit chat about his money concerns. What should I say to him?

Now, I know what you may be thinking. Analyst’ Recommendations are just that, Recommendations. Further, they are Subjective. Sure, they may be based, in part, on Fundamental Analysis which seems to be the approach taken by every Analysts I encounter on WEBSITES.

Then, we also have the theory of Technical Analysis and the debate over which system is more reliable for investing and Trading (respectively?).

Note: I tend to adhere to Swing or Pattern Trading with Market Timing of a few days to a few weeks, though in some cases a couple of months.

Absolutely, I would love any feedback, thoughts or personal approaches others employ in their involvement with the Stock Market.

However, back to my Intended Question:

I guess what I am most concerned with is just how Recent, Updated, Correct is the information provided on these Sites?

Some of this information or projections seem to Never change or update. The only time I notice a change, say- in a 1 Year Target Stock Price, is when or after a Stock has been “Pinked.” And, even then, the only information (in my experience) available is: “N/A”. Literally stated as: N/A.

Can anyone enlighten me or fill me in on how to obtain updated information, statistics, projections, ideally on a daily basis. Somehow I’m thinking that this endeavor would be, without question, too timely, costly, and just plain impossible for these Website to undertake.

The following are SOME of the Websites I use almost daily:

finviz.com/screener/

nasdaq.com/

mffais.com/ *(this one is rather neat & comprehensive).

finance.yahoo.com/ *(we all know this one – nothing special).

money.aol.com/ *(same).

stockcharts.com/ *(okay).

superstockscreener.com/ *(for enjoyment purpose only).

nasdaq.riskgrades.com/
*(this one is rather fun & interesting however I don’t know if the “Assigned Number Grade” is any different than Fundamental Analysis with a Twist).

invest.bankofamerica.com/ *(my Brokerage Account Bank. Hmmm. It does beat others, though).

investopedia.com/ *(very thorough and informative. One of my favourites. For those of you interested, they also have Study Guides for Series Exams, 63, 6, 7, etal.)

And, let’s not forget Cramer. Very intertaining television.

And, while I’m here, let me ask this:

Does anyone know of any good to great forums, chat places, etc., which follow adult-like, responsible, polite and informative guidelines? So far, every Message Board and the like I have ever encountered is filled with a bunch of bratty, arrogant, argumentative, belligerent and combative PUNKS. Wow, I guess I don’t like many of these Boards…lol.

Sorry for the long-winded Question, or is it Commentary, though I would really appreciate any responses. Should anyone care to contact me directly, you can do so at: dave.duke@yahoo.com/ Thanks Again, David
